ROBERT POWELL
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
I love questions, puzzles, and challenges. These are tied together by an endless curiosity about humans and the way they think. I believe humans are – for the most part – predictable and there are perfect people for each and every place or position. The trick for me has been studying the psychological intricacies and learning how to pull the best out of one’s basic brain hard-wiring.
I’m inspired by innovation and kindness. I exited “Corporate America” in 2016 because I’m inspired by helping organizations build and grow. I’ve always had trouble staying in my HR “lane” because I genuinely love learning about Operations, Finance, Sales/Marketing, etc. I enjoy serving as a thought leader and positively impacting the businesses I support without being constrained by corporate red tape.
Fresh air and family are my personal passions and I try to combine the two whenever possible. Whether it’s a quick walk, long bike ride, or a trip around town in the Jeep – I’ve found stepping away for a quick respite typically provides renewed perspective and a level mindset.
MaryAnn Sedor
HR Manager Consultant & Executive Coach
With over four decades of experience guiding people and organizations toward growth, Mary Ann Sedor brings a deeply human-centered approach to leadership, culture, and executive development. As an HR Manager Consultant and Executive Coach with Human Operations Solutions, she helps leaders build workplaces that balance operational efficiency with empathy, trust, and authenticity.
Mary Ann began her HR journey in 1987, working as an Internal Recruiter & Employee Relations Specialist, right out of college at Fordham University. Thus, launching a career dedicated to understanding people and systems from every angle. Her path has been shaped by diverse leadership and service roles — including Founder, Chief Operations Officer, and Head Strength & Endurance Coach of her own performance and wellness business. In addition to her work in fitness, she has also served as a social worker and crisis counselor; adding to the experiences that deepened her insight into resilience, emotional intelligence, and human connection.
Beyond the corporate world, Mary Ann embodies the principles of endurance, focus, and balance that she teaches. She is a five-time Ironman triathlon finisher and a finisher of La Ruta de los Conquistadores — a three-day mountain bike race, known as “the hardest mountain bike race in the world” in Costa Rica. An avid cyclist and certified yoga and meditation instructor (trained in Rishikesh, India), Mary Ann integrates mindfulness, movement, and resilience practices into her leadership coaching. She is also a trained Death Doula, offering compassionate guidance through life transitions and reminding clients that presence and purpose extend beyond the workplace.
A proud mother of five children and four grandchildren, Mary Ann brings empathy, strength, and a lifetime of perspective to every conversation. At Human Operations Solutions, she partners with leaders to cultivate clarity, connection, and authentic success — both professionally and personally.

BINI MAHARJAN
HR MANAGER CONSULTANT
Bini Maharjan is a certified SHRM - CP, passionate about people and culture and who brings over five years of dedicated experience in Human Resources.
Her professional journey has been marked by a diverse range of roles, primarily focused on providing comprehensive HR support to a variety of sectors.
Throughout her career, Bini has demonstrated her expertise in navigating HR within a franchising company overseeing four distinct brands, a hotel group, a marketing company, and a non-profit organization.
What truly drives Bini’s passion for HR is the opportunity to facilitate the integration of new employees into the organizational culture, ensuring that their journey with the company begins on a positive note. She firmly believes that the initial stages of employment play a pivotal role in shaping an individual’s experience within an organization.
